Soraya Ravenle (born Soraya Jarlicht on 28 November 1962 in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro), is a Brazilian actress and singer.

Biography

She is a daughter of Polish Jewish immigrants who moved to Brazil shortly before World War 2. Her sister Ithamara Koorax is also a singer.

In 1986 she graduated from the Calouste Gulbenkian actors' training course and the same year made her theatre debut.

In 1988 she made her television debut in Vale Tudo, before starring the following year in another Rede Globo telenovela, Que Rei Sou Eu?

Throughout the 1990s Soraya Ravenle was involved in various musical projects with the group Arranco de Varsóvia, as well as a tour with singer Fernanda Abreu.

In 2000-01 she played one of her career's major roles in Laços de Família, appearing as Yvete, the best friend of main character Helena (Vera Fischer). Aside from being Helena's person of trust for sharing secrets, Yvete also provided comic relief owing to her attempts to revive the sexual drive of her husband Viriato.[1]

After that she made several appearances in other Rede Globo television drama shows.
