Solomon Pavliashvili (August 24, 1959, Kakabeti, Sagarejo) - Georgian. Doctor of Economics, Academician of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences (2021)[[1]], Vice-President of the Georgian Academy of Economic Sciences[[2]], Professor of the Georgian Technical University[[3]]. Member of the Parliament of the 5th convocation in 1999-2001. Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia (since 15 December 2017)[[4]].
Biography

[edit]• 1976-1982: Graduated with honors from the Faculty of National Economy Planning at Tbilisi State University[5]
• 1982-1986: Postgraduate studies at the Institute of Economics and Law of the Georgian Academy of Sciences
• 1990-1992: Doctoral studies at Georgian Technical University[6]. He is a Doctor of Economics.
• 1995-1999: Law Faculty at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University[7]
In 1994, he completed a Public Sector Management training program under the European Union's TACIS[8] technical assistance program in the Great Britain, Northern Ireland.

• 2023: Received the Georgian Technical University's "Gold Medal" for his outstanding service to the University[19]
• 2023: Honored as an Honorary Citizen of Mestia for “the special attention shown to the population of the municipality of Mestia during the pandemic”[20]
• 2023: Received an honorary certificate from the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia on World Science Day (UNESCO) for “scientific achievements in the field of economics”[21]
• 2024: Awarded Honorary Citizen of Sagarejo[22]
• 2024: Elected Honorary Citizen of Lentekhi[23]
• 2024: Received an honorary certificate from the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia for scientific work in environmental protection and agricultural economics and in connection with the 65th anniversary of his birth[24]
• 2024: awarded a certificate by the UNDP Global Manager of the Biodiversity Financing Initiative for outstanding contributions to the Biodiversity Financing Initiative process.[25]
Publications
[edit]Pavliashvili has published 17 monographs and over 100 scientific publications in local and international scientific journals, covering topics such as macroeconomics, agricultural sciences, environmental protection, green economy, circular economy, international economic relations and other topical issues in local and international scientific journals.
Pavliashvili is married and has four children
