Promotion
[edit]Due to the immense popularity of the films Love on a Diet and Fighting for Love, in which Sammi Cheng starred as the leading actress, the box office results were outstanding. Riding on this wave of success, the album's sales soared without the need for extensive promotion.[7]
The films significantly boosted her singing career, but she still promoted the album through a few events, TV appearances, interviews, and features in magazines and newspapers.
Additionally,She held a total of twelve "Shocking Colors" concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum starting on September 7th,2001[8] which were hailed by Hong Kong media as the Highest-grossing concerts. [9]This also drove the sales of the second edition of the album. However, the albums sold outside the concert venues were not counted in the sales figures verified by the Hong Kong IFPI, resulting in a portion of the sales being unaccounted for.

- ^ "The entertainment industry in 2001 could be described as a women's world, with female singers dominating the music scene. The most popular female singer was undoubtedly Sammi Cheng. Her singing career was boosted by her success in films, and despite the economic downturn, she managed to hold twelve sold-out concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Her 2001 films "Love on a Diet," "Fighting for Love," and "Wu Yen" grossed a combined box office of 85 million HKD. Coupled with high album sales, this secured her position as one of the top five highest-paid singers in the music industry.
