Shivam Singh Yadav is an Indian sculptor known for his scrap metal sculptures.[1]
Biography
[edit]Childhood and Schooling
In Uttar Pradesh's Gram Sahabzpur, District Kushinagar, Shivam Singh Yadav was born. His intense love of art drove him to study fine arts at Lucknow University, where he focused on working with styrofoam, scrap metal, and stone for his bachelor's and master's degrees. In addition, he holds a Diploma in Arts Master Training, which helped him hone his creative abilities even further.[2]
Career
[edit]In the beginning of his career, Shivam Singh Yadav concentrated on designing thermocol sets for Indian movies. He has been designing intricate and avant-garde set designs for big production companies for the last eight years. Among his accomplishments is the construction of the biggest thermocol car ever, an a new record car that brought him attention on a global scale.
Conservation for the Environment and Art
Beyond simple aesthetics, Shivam Singh Yadav's work demonstrates his dedication to environmental awareness and protection. He brings attention to threatened species and promotes conservation through his work. Among his noteworthy inventions are:
Toxic Beauty: Constructed from bicycle components, fan grilles, rusty iron tank sheets, and other discarded materials, this sculpture of a swallowtail butterfly stands 25 feet tall. Its main purpose is to show the consequences of pesticides. It is recognized as the largest scrap metal butterfly and is on exhibit in the Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden in Lucknow. It is also listed in the India Book of Records.
Haste Eagle: This sculpture, which can be seen at the Unnao Bird Sanctuary, was created as a tribute to the endangered status of the Haste Eagle. The sculpture highlights the characteristics of this rare species in an effort to raise awareness about its conservation.

In addition to being based on art lovers, Shivam Singh Yadav's activities at the Lucknow Zoo and the Unnao Bird Sanctuary have increased awareness of environmental issues. His efforts have significantly aided in the promotion of constructive social transformation.

Shivam Singh Yadav intends to open a sculpting studio so that he may develop his craft and interact with more people. - Largest Scrap Metal Butterfly Sculpture: Displayed at the Lucknow Zoo, this 23-feet large artwork uses materials such as iron tank sheets, fan grills, bicycle pedal sets, bike clutch plates, petrol tanks, and tractor wheels. It aims to convey a message about nature conservation and the effects of pesticides.
- Haste Eagle Sculpture: This sculpture, made to highlight the endangered status of the Haste Eagle, is displayed at the Unnao Bird Sanctuary.Ram Kalash: This work features the name of Shri Ram intricately crafted in 4500 language (a traditional form of decorative metalwork). It showcases Shivam skill in creating detailed and culturally significant sculptures.
