Geological Summary
[edit]Nichiyo, one of the Shichiyo Seamounts, named for the seven days of the week ("Sunday"), lies south of Sofugan volcano. No hydrothermal activity or other unrest has been noted here, but it is assumed to be at least Pleistocene.
