Sherman Duesenbury Horton Jr. (February 19, 1931 – December 3, 2014) was a justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court from 1990 to 2000.

"Dartmouth College graduate who has been a lawyer in Nashua since he graduated from Harvard Law School in 1958, was nominated to the bench yesterday by Gov. Judd Gregg".[1]

Horton was the first person who was not previously a judge to be nominated to the court in decades.[1]
