Sheikh Muhammad Abbas also known as Al-Hajj Mufti Muhammad Abbas Ibn Haji Ismail was well known Islamic Scholar. Sheikh's tremendous efforts and contributions in the field of Islamic Studies and Social Welfare is remarkable. He was felicitated and appreciated by that time Sufi Saints from Markaz e Bareilly Shareef.
Mufti Muhammad Abbas R.A completed his highest degree in Islamic studies from Bareilly Shareef Uttar Pradesh India. He was born in a village Islampur, Kumma Panchayat , Sitamarhi in northern part of the state Bihar. Sheikh's father Haji Ismail Sheikh is well known personality who was part of a struggle against British Raj.
Sheikh Muhammad Abbas in his early career stayed in the state and contributed to build Islamic Idara or Madarsa and helped reforming educational system and well being later, He moved to the state Nagaland in the late 90s a state of India which was undeveloped and known for tribes & Cannibalism. He faced difficulties at initial stage but later with the help of few locals he settled down in the town of Dimapur of the state Nagaland.
He made a great contribution in forming the first center of Islamic studies at Dimapur with the help of few locals and
worked on educating local Muslims and New Muslims. His teachings helped locals in social reforms and bad things
started to end from society.
