Shea, Inc. is a Minneapolis-based, multidisciplinary architecture and interior design firm founded in 1978 by David Shea.[1] The 50-person design firm, commonly referred to as Shea Design or just Shea, is known for its development and design work across the restaurant, hotel, retail, and workplace industries.[2]
When Shea, Inc. was founded, the firm started with an initial client roster primarily made up of banks and financial institutions until venturing into the restaurant design industry with the design of the first Leeann Chin in 1980 in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Today, Shea, Inc. has designed over 300 restaurants worldwide, including over 50 in the Twin Cities area.[3]
