Shavon Revel Jr. is an American college football cornerback for the East Carolina Pirates. He previously played at Louisburg College.
Early life
[edit]Revel was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He attended three years at Richard J. Reynolds High School before transferring to Ronald W. Reagan High School in Pfafftown, North Carolina, as a senior in 2019.[1] Revel played cornerback and wide receiver for their football teams and was also a letterman in track and field, participating in the 55 meters, 300 meters, long jump, and high jump events.[1]
College career
[edit]Revel enrolled at Louisburg College in 2020 to play college football for the Hurricanes.[1] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he did not compete his freshman season and only played six games in 2021.[1] He transferred to East Carolina University in December 2021 to play for the Pirates.[1] Revel earned second-team American Athletic Conference honors in 2023.[2] In 2024 against the Appalachian State Mountaineers, he returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown.[3] A few days later, he suffered a torn ACL in practice and missed the rest of the season.[4]
