Shania Bedward is a Team Canada Weightlifter, Commonwealth Champion and 3 time Canadian National Champion [1] [2][3]. She holds the Commonwealth weightlifting records in both the snatch and total in the 76kg category. Shania Bedward won Bronze at the 2024 IWF World Cup in the clean and jerk. Shania began weightlifting between 2020 and 2021. She became a national team athlete on the Canadian weightlifting team in 2021 where she represented Canada at her first international event that took place at the Pan American Championships in Ecuador.
