Saw XI is an upcoming American horror film directed by Kevin Greutert and written by Marcus Dunstan. It is the eleventh installment in the Saw franchise and a sequel to Saw X (2023). The film is scheduled to be released in the United States by Lionsgate Films on September 26, 2025.
Cast
[edit]- Tobin Bell as John Kramer / Jigsaw. Bell expressed his excitement at being able to continue developing the character, teasing that John Kramer "isn't done" yet and that there's more to learn about him.[1]
Production
[edit]In September 2023, when asked by ComicBook.com about plans for the Saw franchise's future, producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules affirmed that they already had ideas for an eleventh Saw film, but wanted to wait for the box office performance of Saw X (2023).[2] On December 12, Lionsgate confirmed Saw XI on their Instagram account.[3]
Veteran Saw writer Marcus Dunstan began writing the film in December 2023.[4] In February 2024, it was announced that Kevin Greutert would be returning to direct the film after doing so for Saw VI (2009), Saw 3D (2010) and Saw X.[5] In October 2024, Tobin Bell was officially confirmed by Los Angeles Times to be reprising once again his role as John Kramer / Jigsaw in the film, teasing that the character "isn't done" yet and there is more to learn about him.[1]
Release
[edit]Saw XI is scheduled to be released by Lionsgate Films on September 26, 2025.[6] It was originally scheduled for September 27, 2024.[3]
