Salome Jordania (born 8 September, 1996) is an internationally acclaimed Georgian pianist, winner of the New York Concert Artists Worldwide Competition, and known for her extensive performances as a recitalist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist across Europe, Asia, and North America.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Salome Jordania was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, and began her musical studies at the age of seven under the guidance of renowned professor Natalia Natsvlishvili. from Early age she was an active performer, solo recitals as well as with orchestras around the world. At the age of nine, she performed Bach’s F Minor Concerto with the Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra in Ukraine. In addition, at age 13, she was named "Cultural Ambassador of Georgia" by the Mayor of Tbilisi. She continued to gain recognition by winning first prize at the Tbilisi International Competition and the Eighth International Young Musicians Television Competition in Moscow.
Salome later earned her Bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School of Music under the tutelage of Julian Martin, followed by a Master’s degree from the Yale School of Music where she studied with Boris Berman, graduating with the Charles S. Miller Prize for distinguished pianists.
She recently obtained an Artist Diploma from the Guildhall School of Music in London, UK, under the mentorship of Professor Ronan O’Hora, where she was a recipient of the Steinway & Sons scholarship. She is currently managed by ICM Management worldwide.

She made her Lincoln Center debut performing John Corigliano’s Chiaroscuro at the AXIOM Festival and performed her debut recital at the Berlin Philharmonie in March 2023.

[edit]Throughout her career, Salome Jordania has been recognized for her musical achievements, receiving several awards:
- Norma Fischer Prize at the Wideman International Competition
- Silver Medal at the International Keyboard Institute & Festival (IKIF) in New York
- First Prize at the Golden Key Competition (Frankfurt, Germany)
- Bronze Medal at the José Iturbi International Piano Competition, alongside special prizes for best performances of Mozart, Chopin, and a commissioned piece.
- Georges Cziffra Award by the Cziffra Foundation (Vienna, Austria)
- Classeek Ambassador Programme finalist (2023)
Discography
[edit]Salome Jordania’s first CD, recorded by NAXOS, was released in May 2022. It featured La Makina, a composition by Martin Matalon.
Jury and Teaching
[edit]In both 2021 and 2023, Salome was invited to serve as a jury member for the International Piano Competition of Nataly Yeshchenko in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
