Literary Career

His first notable work, Chann Veeran Da (1962), a collection of poems, received critical acclaim for its vivid imagery and heartfelt depictions of rural Punjab. He later published Raatan Di Goonj (1970), a novel exploring themes of identity and migration, which became a cornerstone of modern Punjabi literature.
In 1984, he published Zameer De Bol, a collection of essays examining moral dilemmas and societal changes in contemporary Punjab. His works often reflected the social upheavals of his time, including Partition, post-independence struggles, and rural hardships.
