Sacrifice Valley is one the famous Barangay in Bataan from the Municipality of Hermosa. It is in a valley area between the mountains of HERMOSA town AND DINALUPIHAN town in Bataan,Sacrifice Valley is just only ten minutes drive away from OLONGAPO (ULO NG APO) city, where the former US NAVAL BASE is located. It has an estimated population of 1,248 as of year 2020 from the municipal data. Sacrifice Valley became an official Barangay on the late 1970's and it was founded by the Leonzon Family lead by Maria Virginia P. Leonzon. Between 1960 to 1970, the original location of the subject Barangay is called the "Old Sacrifice" is located nearby and beside of the new Barangay Sacrifice Valley along the mountain side of Subic Naval Radar.

In 1980's, The first Barangay Captain was elected and it was then manage under the leadership of Brgy. Captain Theodore Teruel a son of late Maria Virginia Leonzon and remain in the position until 1990's. This Barangay is know to be a role model under his term (Theodore Teruel).

Sacrifice Valley is famous to its modest and conservative way of christian living.

1. Women are not allowed to wear sleeveless, short pant and pants in public,

2. Men are not allowed to wear short pants and sandos in public.

3. Smoking and Alcohol is strictly prohibited (under its ordinance approved by LGU)

4. Any form of Gambling and illegal parties is not allowed.

5. People should walk without sandals or shoes "nakapaa" (not mandatory/encourage)

6. People should wear a white clothings and sutana (Recommended in public)

7. Recite the angelus three times a day "6am, 12pm. 6pm"

8. Rosary very night to all "kabataan" and Novena every Wednesday.

9. Curfew hours (approx. 8pm to 5am)

These are some of the conservative way of living during that time.

SACRIFICE VALLEY WHERE KNOWN AS:

The Barangay Sacrifice Valley is famous and known to its spiritual activity since 1970s till the Matriach and Foundress St. Maria Virginia Leonzon joined our creator in year 2005. A thousand of people from different places in the Philippines are seen to be participating every Friday and Saturday on "GANAPAN" and it reaches to hundreds of thousands during holy week on that period.

What is GANAPAN?

"GANAPAN" is a "Fulfilment" of the spiritual obligation and activities in Sacrifice Valley. It started from what is called as "ULTREYA", a Spanish word, derived from the original Latin, meaning “Onward” on the evening time of friday, following by the Holy Mass and Bibble study until the morning of Satuday. Then the people are preparing for tghe "Pag-ganap ng Mahal na Ingkong in the Afternoon" of Saturday. To make it short, the following details below is the "GANAPAN" major schedule.

Friday:

5am to 3pm - Akyatan o pagdating ng mga tao. The assembly period.

3pm to 6pm - Paglista sa mga magcocompro o sasailalim sa doktrina magdamag bago "TATAKAN" ng "Mahal na Ingkong" sa araw ng Sabado.

6pm to 7pm - Utreya. Pagaawit at pag pupuri ng masaya. Ito ang unang pagsalubonmg o umpisa ng "GANAPAN"

7pm to 8pm - Misa (Holy Mass)

9pm to 6am - Bible Study sa Simbahan at And pagdoktrina sa Comprohan

Saturday:

7am to 12pm - Other spiritual activities....

12pm to 6pm (Approx) - Ang pag Ganap ng Mahal na Ingkong - Espirito Santo (The Message of the Holy Spirit through its Covenant ST. Virginia Leonzon)

Products and Tourism:

Sacrifice Valley is known on its Herbal products. Kugon, pandakaki, oregano, sambong, and many more herbal from natural plants. It is also known to its unique herbal product called "Formula" with similarities in pito-ptio but this one have its more additional herbal ingredients and well proven since the old sacrifice days. The Barangay is one to be considered as Pilgrimage and tourist spot for its Natures Basilica and station of the cross.
