SBA Group (formerly "SBA Concern[1]")is a Lithuanian company engaged in furniture manufacturing, real estate, investment management, textiles and other activities.
History
[edit]In 1990 m. Concern SBA was launched.[2]
In 1996, furniture manufacturing started under the contract with IKEA
In 2002, an agreement was signed to sponsor the international jazz festival Kaunas Jazz
In 2016, the community project Šilutė Wall[3] was presented in Šilutė to commemorate the 125th anniversary of „Šilutės baldų.
In 2019, the architectural concept of the renovation of the Kaunas Vienybės Squa[4]was awarded top honours in the German Design Awards[5]
In 2021, the name of the Concern was changed into SBA Group.
Business areas
[edit]The main sectors include furniture manufacturing, real estate, textiles, and investment management.
Goods are exported to 50 countries worldwide: EU, USA, Middle East, India, Canada, China, Australia. One of the major partners is IKEA.
Subsidiaries
[edit]„SBA Home"[6] manages the SBA furniture manufacturing sector, namely, 4 furniture manufacturing and 1 logistics company. The Group owns Klaipėdos baldai,[7] Šilutės baldai,[8] Inno Line,[9] Visagino Linija,[10] and the logistics centre Innovo logistika.[11]
SBA Group also owns Kauno baldai,[12] one of the largest manufacturers of soft furniture in the Baltic region.
„SBA Urban[13]" (formerly „Urban Inventors") is a RE development company of SBA Group. SBA Urban implements is strategic directions through the following three subsidiaries: Urban HUB,[14] Urban LIVE,[15] Urban WIND.[16]
Utenos Trikotažas Group[17] is the managing company of the SBA Textile Group, which consists of Utenos Trikotažas[18] together with the Šatrija[19] and Mrija companies.
