Sara Samaniego was born on June 2, 1996 in Bogota, Colombia, a social communicator who graduated from the Universidad Javeriana. Taking advantage of the reach that social media has, she decided to open her own YouTube channel and create the character of ‘Marce, the recycler’, a YouTuber who teaches how to care for the environment through short videos.
Professional information
She is the first Colombian and Latin American woman influencer and youtuber to become in the recycling teacher. Since 2013, she has been working to create greater awareness about the importance of correctly recycling all our waste and garbage.
Her influence has had a big impact at the social media a now she has in instagram 542k and youtube 70.3k subscribers.
Awards
The One Young World organization awarded her the National Award for Young Talent, allowing her to travel to Munich, Germany, as a representative of Colombia.
Her attitude of service granted her the title of 'Leader of the Future', a recognition from the global firm Llorente y Cuenca.
She won a recognition in the Youth Assembly in New York for the best impact history on 2023.

She goes around of the country teaching the correct disposal of waste and making the “recicladores” visible.
