Career
[edit]Bartley joined Crystal Palace as an 11-year-old. In July 2022, he signed his first professional contract with the club.[1] In January 2023, he joined National League South club Eastbourne Borough on loan until the end of the season.[2] He was released by Crystal Palace at the end of his contract in June 2023.[3]
In July 2023, Bartley joined Derby County U21.[4] He was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for December 2023, losing out to Callum Marshall of West Ham United.[5][6] He renewed his contract with Derby's academy in summer 2024.[7]
Bartley joined National League North club Spennymoor Town on a one-month loan in August 2024.[8]
He joined another National League North club on loan the following month, signing for Hereford on a one-month loan.[9] He immediately made his debut at centre-back in a 2–1 away win against Buxton, playing the full 90 minutes alongside Kyle Howkins. He was voted the club's player of the month for October,[citation needed] and was named in the league sponsor's team of the week in November after scoring his first goal for the club inside the first minute of a 4–0 home win against Marine.[citation needed]
