Ruth Katushabe born 23rd November 1982, is a Ugandan Politician and Member of the National Resistance Movement. She serves as a presidential advisor[1] in political affairs having lost the Bukomansimbi member of parliament seat to a National Unity Platform candidate Nandagire Cristine Ndiwalana[2]in 2021. She is a journalist by profession and worked with Uganda media houses before joining politics in 2016.
Background and Education
[edit]Katushabe is the daughter of Mr. James Lubega and Mrs. Lubega. She is married to Hajji Brahim Matovu[3].She attended Lake Mburo High School, Namirembe Hillside, Makerere University, and Later on Joined Amity University, Noida.
She served as a member of the parliament of Bukomansimbi for five years from 2016 to 2021 when she lost the election[4].
She beat Nandagire in court in 2016 to serve in the 10th Parliament of Uganda and lost to her in 2021[5][6]
