Career

Rummana Hasan has built an extensive career in marketing and leadership across top global companies, contributing to significant business growth and innovation.

Rummana joined SC Johnson in 2017 as the Commercial Marketing Director for EMEA and Sustainability Leader, based in Switzerland. During her tenure, she led a successful turnaround of the European home cleaning business, including the launch of digital campaigns like Mr. Muscle Don’t Wait, resulting in an 18% growth in both share and sales. She also spearheaded the launch of Mr. Muscle Platinum, a premium hard surface cleaner that improved profitability by 12 gross margin points. In her role as European Sustainability Leader, Rummana launched SC Johnson's Ocean Plastic Bottle initiative and led the company's first-ever influencer campaign, #Project5050, aimed at promoting cleaning equality.

Before SC Johnson, Rummana worked at Nestlé Health Science from 2013 to 2016 as the Assistant Vice President of Global Aging Nutrition. She was responsible for managing over 50% of the division's net sales and profits, with a notable achievement of launching a new nutritional drink into the European market within nine months. Under her leadership, 2014 sales grew by 130% over the target, surpassing market growth. Rummana also led Nestlé's Mind & Body – Age Your Way initiative and was a key player in the Nestlé for Healthier Kids program.

Prior to that, she held various leadership roles at Novartis Consumer Health (now Haleon), where she managed brands like Lamisil, Fenistil, Nicotinell, and Voltaren. From 2005 to 2012, Rummana was instrumental in building these brands to global market leadership, earning several industry awards, including a 2007 Euro Effie and Cannes Lions recognition for digital and instore campaigns. Her strategic leadership helped Voltaren become the #1 OTC brand in both Germany and Poland, with a CAGR of 15% and accretive profit growth.

Rummana began her career at Procter & Gamble in 1994, holding multiple regional, category, and brand management roles across the MEA and Turkey region. She achieved remarkable success with brands like Pantene, Safeguard, and Pampers, including building Pantene to the highest market share levels globally at 27% and launching Safeguard Pink, which resulted in record volume growth of 80% in Pakistan.

Throughout her career, Rummana Hasan has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive business success through innovative marketing strategies, product launches, and brand leadership, while also championing sustainability initiatives.
