Draft:Room for Discussion

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Room for Discussion (RfD) is the interview platform of the University of Amsterdam. Two students of various faculties and programs interview relevant academics, politicians, economists and other guests about societal relevant themes, usually for the duration of an hour. The interviews are held on the Roeterseilandcampus, where students, staff and journalists can visit these interviews and ask questions. All interviews are also available through YouTube.

Since the foundation the platform has been associated with the study association of the faculty of Economics and Business, SEFA. Het platform is made up of 15 to 20 students and usually changes in composition twice a year through a recruitment round open for all students of the university.

Room for Discussion acquired national fame in 2018 when the platform invited the controversial Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson.[1][2]
