Rob Kittridge (born 15 April 1978) is a Welsh musician, producer and engineer. He performs solo and with the band Smokestacks.
Career

[edit]As a teenager in the 1990s, Rob Kittridge played drums for the Newport band, Disco, fronted by owner of Le Pub Sam Dabb.[1][2] They appeared many times at TJ's, supporting the 60ft Dolls and Catatonia and were signed to TJs records,[citation needed] resulting in subsequent airtime on radio shows hosted by John Peel, Steve Lamacq, Jo Whiley.[citation needed]
Smokestacks
[edit]In the early 2000s, Newport band Smokestacks was formed with Gareth Pembridge on bass guitar, Dom Pembridge on acoustic guitar and Drums and Kittridge on guitar and main vocals, with Laurence Richard later joining in 2005 on guitar and pedal steel guitar.[citation needed] Smokestacks regularly played at TJs[3] and Le Pub.[4]
Solo
[edit]In 2020 Kittridge released his first solo album, BATS, producing and engineering the project himself, the performance of instruments including drums, bass guitar and keyboards.[citation needed] Promptly after its release he started writing songs for a new album and by the spring of 2021 the demos were ready, and decided to work with producer Laurence Richard.[citation needed] Redbrook will be released on 21 June 2024.[citation needed]
