Humble Beginnings
Rehash is an american rock band, based out of South Florida. They started off as a duo, with Renzo Valdez on Guitar and Vocals, and Sebastian Gamez on Bass. They began by uploading covers on their TikTok and Youtube pages, slowly but surely building up their fanbase. Soon after, they began to write and record their own songs.
Getting The Band Together The duo wrote and recorded their self-titled debut album 'Rehash'. The album was made available on CD, and Vinyl shortly after, which each featured exclusive demos of 'Lately' and '19th Century Sadness', later released on the second album. Prior to the release of the album, 2 Singles were released. 'Power Trips/At The End' on the 11th November 2022, and 'Letting Go/Cold Food' on the 16th December 2022. The album 'Rehash' was released on the 9th June 2023. It was around this time that Daseth Lopez joined the band on Bass, Ethan Lopez joined on Drums, and Sebastian Gamez switched from Bass to Lead Guitar and Keyboards. Shortly after, Rehash began playing their first shows and growing on social media.
Album 2 (Mourning Star) Soon after though, the time came for a new album. It is unknown exactly when the band wrote their 2nd album 'Mourning Star', however, the first single 'Here Comes The Rain/Back To Strangers' was released on the 1st March 2024. CD singles were available for a limited time, including an unreleased demo. The second single 'Lately/19th Century Sadness' followed soon after, released on the 12th April 2024. A week before the release of 'Mourning Star', on the 28th June 2024, the band performed a show at SAE Institute in North Miami, performing at the time unreleased tracks from the album. Support bands at the show were Stellar and Tar. The album was released on the 5th July 2024, and like the first album, was also made available to buy on CD and Vinyl.
What's Next? Rehash continue to perform live, write new material, and keep their fans up to date on social media. The best is yet to come for Rehash.
