Submission declined on 19 May 2024 by Monhiroe (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Regina Aquino is an actress from Washington, DC.[1][2]
Aquino is the first Filipino American actress to receive a Helen Hayes Award (2019). She was nominated and received the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play.[1][3]
In an interview with DC Theater Arts, when performing in Mosaic Theater's production of Birds of North America in 2021, Aquino responded to a question about the impact of "woke" culture on the theatre rehearsal and production process with:
"The change is dramatic. Theater work today is more collaborative. Rehearsals are more humane. There are more women involved. Of course, a lot is the result of the #MeToo movement. The process feels safer. Boundaries are respected and hierarchy is less frequently imposed.”[4]
