"Reflections" is an American electropop, independent music, and ambient music song released by alternative rock band The Neighbourhood, record label by Columbia. The song was made by Jesse Rutherford, Jeremy Freedman, Brandon Fried, Lars Stalfors, Mikey Margott, Zach Abels, and Evan Bogart.[1] in 2018. The song was part of their fourth studio album The Neighbourhood. "Reflections" has been listened on Spotify over 600,000 times[2], and listened on YouTube over 50 Million times.[3] Vinyl Record sales are undetermined.

Meaning

[edit]

The song's meaning is Jesse Rutherford's complexities of human relationships, mental pain, and regret. In the lyrics 'Where have you been?' Jesse is admitting the fact of longing and absence. In the line 'Id rather lose somebody than use somebody' Jesse admits his loss of a romantic partner, and is not willing to beg for another chance.[4][5][6] The song dives into themes of love, mental pain, loss, and elements of sad emotion due to a break up, leaving a sense of sadness. This is what the lyrics describe, but is not officially stated by The Neighbourhood.
