Red Tricycle is an online media company founded in 2006 in Seattle, Washington by Jacqui Boland. The business originally consisted of an email newsletter that provided readers with information about events, products and services for new parents in their city. The emails first focused on Seattle but eventually grew to include dozens of US cities. The company has been described by the Seattle PI as "near the forefront of the next generation of parenting tools".[1]
In 2012, Red Tricycle raised a $1.5 million round led by Maveron with participation from 500 Startups, Richmond Park Partners, Zulily, Paul Bucheit, Bob Pittman, and Jason Calacanis.[2]
In February 2020, Tinybeans purchased the company for $11 million AUD, with $9.35M cash plus stock (TNY ASX).[3]
