Ranger's Cadet College (Urdu:رینجرز کیڈٹ کالج), abbreviated as RCC is a Boarding schoolestablished by Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) in Chakri, Rawalpindi. It provides quality education primarily to the children of Rangers/Defense personnel and civilians, emphasizing academic excellence and character development in a conducive environment. RCC offers boarding facilities and accommodates over 600 students from grades VIII to XII, equipped with modern amenities for academic, sports, and recreational activities.[1]
Introduction
[edit]Apart from its primary duties, Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) has played a significant role in the field of education. Currently, under the auspices of the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Foundation, the organization oversees 24 schools/colleges, two technical institutions, and one special education institute across urban and border areas of Punjab. In line with the directive from the Director General of Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) to enhance educational opportunities for youth, a modern Rangers Cadet College (RCC) has been established in Chakri, Rawalpindi. RCC aims to provide quality education primarily to the children of Rangers/Defense personnel, including martyrs, as well as to civilians. The college accommodates over 600 students from grades VIII to XII, offering a well-equipped campus with academic, sports, administrative, and recreational facilities in a serene setting. The motto of RCC, "CHARACTER IS DESTINY" (ﻋﻟﻢ ﻮ ﻧﻈﻢ), encapsulates its educational philosophy.
Structure and Functioning
[edit]The College is headed by a Principal and is organized into Academic and Administrative Wings. The Academic Wing is headed by Vice Principal, who is assisted by section heads, department heads, house masters and a rich faculty. The Administrative Wing is headed by a officer of the rank of Senior Superintendant Rangers.
Administration Wing
[edit]The Administration branch is headed by AQ. It's major responsibilities are to look after security and geneal administration of college. The AQ is further assisted by an Administrative officer, Messing officer, Medical officer and Accounts officer.
Academic Wing
[edit]The Academic Wing is headed by Vice Principal and further assisted by house masters, training officer, section heads. Adjutant and teaching faculty. The main objective is to provide quality education to cadets through a systematic academic management system. The major responsibilities of this branch are to conduct classes, written examinations, training cadres, discipline and overall personality grooming of cadets. Induction celll supervised by Induction officer, responsible for selection of cadets through an elaborate selection gegime also functions under the Academic Wing.
College Academic Council
[edit]The College Academic Council comprises of vice principal, section heads, senior staff officers and headed by principal. Council is responsible for setting standards related to educational matters and devising relevant implementation plans. In addition, council also provides a platform for guidance and counselling of cadets, Council is also responsible to give different awards and medals to high achievers in academics and sports.
