Rajkumar Rajeevkanth was born in Trincomalee, located in the eastern part of Sri Lanka. He pursued higher education at the University of Colombo, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) degree. His academic background laid the foundation for his career in the management field.

Career and Activism

Rajeevkanth is a well-known political and human rights activist in Sri Lanka. He has been actively involved in various movements advocating for the rights of Tamil people and other marginalized communities.[1]. His activism is particularly focused on the repeal of the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) and the release of political prisoners, causes he has championed for several years [2]

Aragalaya Protest

Rajeevkanth played a significant role in the Aragalaya protest at Galle Face, a movement aimed at addressing political and economic issues in Sri Lanka. He was one of the prominent participants from the Northern and Eastern regions of the country [3]. Political Career

Rajeevkanth is one of the founders of the People’s Struggle Alliance Party, a political group formed to address the concerns of underrepresented communities in Sri Lanka.
