Quentyn Nymeros Martell is a fictional character created by George R. R. Martin, appearing in the epic fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire. In the novels, Quentyn embarks on a grand quest to Meereen from Dorne, to reestablish the marriage pact between Viserys Targaryen and Arianne Martell by wedding Daenerys Targaryen. Quentyn is a mentioned character for most of the series, until becoming a POV character in the fifth book, A Dance with Dragons.[1]
Quentyn does not appear in the HBO television series adaptation Game of Thrones and is one of the most popular characters cut from the show, alongside his sister Arianne Martell, who were both removed from the Dornish plotline from the books, leading to negative reception regarding Dorne from Season 5 onward.
