The Professional Boxing Career (PBC), is Pakistan's primary regulatory body for professional boxing. Established in 2017 by Abdul Rasheed Baloch, the PBC provides a platform for Pakistani boxers to compete professionally within the country. It collaborates with BoxRec, a prominent global boxing record-keeping website, to sanction professional boxing matches in Pakistan.
History
[edit]The PBC was founded in 2017 by Abdul Rasheed Baloch, to offer a structured platform for Pakistani boxers and elevate the sport to international standards. Initially known as the Pakistan Boxing Association,(PBA), the organization underwent several rebranding, becoming the Pakistan Professional Boxing Federation (PPBF), and later the Pakistan Boxing Council (PBC), before being rebranded as the Professional Boxing Career (PBC), in July 2024 under the leadership of Zaigham Rasheed Baloch.
The PBC has hosted over 60 events across Pakistan and recognized more than 200 boxers worldwide. It has partnered with notable figures and organizations in the boxing world, including former world champion Amir Khan and his AK Promotion, as well as Road Crew Media. These collaborations have significantly contributed to promoting Pakistani boxing talent and enhancing the sport's profile internationally.
