ACADEMIC PROFILE

Professor Noah Yusuf was born in Lagos State on June 26, 1964. He completed his basic education at the Community L.E.A. Primary School in Okeya-Ipo before attending Omupo Grammar School in Omupo for his secondary education, which he completed from 1974 to 1979.

He took the University of Cambridge-moderated GCE Advanced Level exams while attending the School of Basic Studies at the former Kwara State College of Technology (now Kwara State Polytechnic), Ilorin, from 1979 to 1982.

Later, in 1984, he was accepted to study sociology at the top-ranked University of Ibadan in the country. After earning a B.Sc. (Honours) in Sociology in 1986, he completed the required National Youth Service program in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State. For his postgraduate studies, this esteemed scholar went back to the University of Ibadan. He then graduated from the same university with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Ph.D. in sociology in 1990 and 2003, respectively.
