On 18 July 2024, Graham Gomm was reported to have escaped from HMP Wormwood Scrubs whilst being transported to a hospital. The following day a manhunt began.[1] Police urged the public to not approach Gomm and to call 999 if they see him all though he is not a threat to the public.[2]
Background of Graham Gomm
[edit]Gomm was born in either 1960 or 1961. At time of escape he was 63. He was charged with burglary offences and was serving a sentence.
Escape
[edit]On 18 July Gomm was transported to Hammersmith Hospital due to him feeling unwell. At 01:20 BST police were first notified of his escape. There are concerns for his personal health. He was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt and grey tracksuit.[2]
