Draft:Princess Hunter

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Princess Hunter is a upcoming cRPG computer game being developed by Cavemen programmerz for Windows.

Plot

[edit]

You play as a Gunslinger, the last in the line of legendary warriors, living the life of an ordinary adventurer. You know, protecting caravans, fighting vermin, catching chicken… A fair job, if not exactly cushy. Everything changes when he gets a letter from his new boss… and the greatest villain in history. This is a job offer one can’t refuse: Find princesses from across the entire Multiverse and bring them to the Crimson King for him to choose himself a bride.

Gameplay

[edit]

Princess Hunter's gameplay is based on three main mechanics:

  • Exploring levels. Each chapter is a separate world with its own peculiarities, locals - friendly and not so friendly. Levels are divided into glades with paths and passages between them. In the glades, the Shooter can find useful items, interactive objects, chatty NPCs and aggressive chibi mobs. Exploring the locations, the player approaches the main goal of the chapter - to get a local princess in the squad. Levels are non-linear - the player will always have an opportunity to go back, defeat an enemy that was beyond him, finish the quest or just enjoy the beauty. With those whom the Gunslinger meets along the way, he can talk: learn something useful or take a quest. But not everyone will be peacefully inclined, in which case there is no avoiding a fight!
  • Battles. Turn-based battles in the form of a card battler. The first turn is the opponent, who plays the top card of his deck. The player chooses one of the cards from his hand to respond to the enemy's attack as effectively as possible. A similar system was used in the game Guild of Dungeoneering. In addition, the Gunslinger will find Artifacts with special properties that affect the course of battle. Somewhat reminiscent of the medallions from Hollow Knight. Artifacts can be changed only in the camp.
  • Non-Linear Dialogues. After exploring and fighting, the tired Shooter must find a safe place to sleep. There he can not only gain strength and prepare for a new day, but also get to know his companions better. The game will feature variable dialogs and quests, as well as DateSim mechanics with companions.
