This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Preston Max Allen
[edit]Preston Max Allen is an American composer, lyricist, and writer known for writing the book, music, and lyrics of the 2019 Off-Broadway musical We Are The Tigers.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Allen was born and raised in Texas.[2] In high school, Allen played the role of Ilona in She Loves Me, for which he earned a nomination for a Betty Buckley Award, a regional high school theatre award.[1]
After high school, Allen moved to the Chicago area to stay close to family.[1] There he graduated from The Second City Chicago Comedy Studies Program and attended Columbia College Chicago where he graduated in 2013 with a B.A. in Acting.[3][4] During his studies, he came to the realization that he no longer desired to perform, and instead focussed on his passion for writing material for his female peers and classmates.[1]
Personal life
[edit]After graduating from college, Allen moved to New York City for seven years before returning to Chicago.[1] He lives with his cat, Hero.[3]
Allen is openly trans masculine and came to understand and accept his trans identity in tandem with the development of We Are The Tigers.[1] Allen is a member of the Ars Nova Play Group and the Writers Guild of America East.[3]
