Prateek Maheshwari is an Indian entrepreneur and co-founder of the education technology company PhysicsWallah.[1][2] In October 2023 he was elected as the co-chairman of the India Edtech Consortium (IEC) which functions under the aegis of Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).[3][4][5][6]
Education and Career
[edit]Maheshwari completed his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi (IIT BHU) in 2011.[1] Following his studies, he ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding startups such as Edu4all, PenPencil, and Night Panda.[7][8][9]
In 2019, Maheshwari co-founded PhysicsWallah alongside Alakh Pandey. The company offers online courses for various competitive examinations in India, with a focus on affordability and accessibility.[10][11]
Awards and Recognition
[edit]In 2022, Maheshwari was recognized on the Hurun List of Richest Indians, ranking 399th with a net worth of ₹4,000 crore (US$500 million).[1]
