PowerTutors
PowerTutors is a UK-based tutoring organisation that specialises in providing tailored educational support to children and young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The organisation collaborates with schools, local authorities, parents, and tutors to deliver personalised educational plans designed to support academic and personal development.
Services PowerTutors provides several services aimed at addressing diverse student needs:
SEND Tutoring: Specialised support for students with conditions such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.[1] Alternative Provision: Education for students who are unable to access mainstream schooling environments.[2] Online Tutoring: Remote learning options for students across the UK.[3] Tailored Learning Plans: Bespoke educational plans designed to address the strengths and needs of individual students.[4] Community Engagement PowerTutors actively participates in community events and charitable activities. In 2024, a team from PowerTutors, including founder Nazanin Nankali, participated in the Run Reigate event to support the charity Stripey Stork. Their involvement contributed to a record-breaking fundraising effort for the organisation.[5] The organisation also supported the #Stripes4Stripey campaign in the same year, further cementing its commitment to community outreach.[6]
Recognition In February 2023, Nazanin Nankali, founder of PowerTutors, received the Silver Award for Business Person of the Year at the SME Surrey Business Awards. This accolade recognised her contributions to improving access to education for children and young people with SEND.[7]
