Pedro Da Conceicao (born 9 April 2006) is a UK politician and Lobbyist[1]. Pedro Da Conceicao officially started his political career in the UK 2024 Parliamentary Election, running as an Independent candidate at just 18 years old. Pedro Da Conceicao is originally Portuguese, but was raised Ealing, West London. He is both Portuguese and British by means on dual nationality.
He ran as the youngest candidate in the 2024 General Election[2] for the London constituency of Ealing Southall.
Political Overview
[edit]Pedro first joined the Labour Party in 2022 and actively attended party meetings and conferences. However in 2024 he renounced his membership due to a disagreement with the parties leadership over the Israel Palestine Conflict. Later that same year he ran as an independent candidate in his local constituency of Ealing Southall.
His political views can be described as centre-left. He advocates for free and contestable markets that promote innovation and growth [3]but also for a functional and comprehensive social welfare system.[3]
He also authored the book Has our current Socio-Economic system ruined humanity?[4]. In this book, He explains many of his political views and explores possible explanations for inequality around the world. Production of the book has ceased.
