Draft:Pastor Thulani

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thulani is a gospel musician hailing from Harare Zimbabwe. He started singing and playing piano at the age of nine and has been pursuing the same gift since then. His love for music and for God has pushed him this far. His entrance into professional music was in 2006 when together with other youth released an album titled “Our Voice”. The group which was named Afro Echoes later disbanded as members spread across the world. Thulani then came to South Africa in 2008.

After a few years of taking different jobs in the media industry, Thulani resigned to open his own recording studio in September 2012. (Hiltec Media). Using the facility Thulani has released two albums titled Ä New Dimension “and “My Set Time”. The latter enjoys airplay on many platforms including local and national radio stations. Songs like testimony, Hlala Nami and O Mohau are many people’s favourites.

Thulani has shared the stage with a number of South African artists including Tshepo Tshola, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Israel Mosehla, Mahalia Buchanan, Kgotso Makgalema, Dumi Mkokstad, Neyi Zimu and a lot other gospel giants.

Thulani has defied all odds against him and has stood testimony to the fact that the sky is only but a benchmark. Born with albinism, a rare difference where one is born with no melanin, the light skinned artist has had to survive and withstand the stigma and discrimination from uninformed fellow Africans. He stands today as an ambassador for ASSA (Albinism Society of South Africa). Added to that is that the young man was orphaned at an early age of 9 and has never gotten to know his father. For one to have achieved what Thulani has is only but a miracle.

Thulani runs a music studio (Hiltec Media) and the facility produces his albums. He is scheduled to be recording his first live DVD album on 28th May 2016 at Victory theatre ,m Orange Grove Johannesburg.
