Cast
[edit]Production
[edit]In April 2022, the project was announced as an untitled ensemble film to be written and directed by Meyers for Netflix.[2] With a reported budget between $130m and $150m,[3] it was dubbed ‘the most expensive rom-com ever made’.[4] Meyers explained the title as a riff on an old Ernst Lubitsch quote “I’ve been to Paris, France and I’ve been to Paris, Paramount and frankly, I prefer Paris, Paramount.”[5] Following reported disagreements over the budget the project stopped moving forward at Netflix in March 2023.[6] That same month the project reportedly moved to Warner Bros.[7] The following month it was reported the film was delayed by scheduling conflicts.[8]
Casting
[edit]In March 2023, Owen Wilson and Scarlet Johannson were reported to have signed on to the project to join Penelope Cruz and Michael Fassbender.[9]
