Ozero Kumdykol is a lake in the Yessil basin.

Geographic Location

It is located in the central part of the Kokshetau Uplands, 10 km west of the village of Qarashylyk in the Burabay District, Aqmola Region. It lies at an altitude of 377 m above sea level.

Hydrology

The lake covers an area of 10.2 km2, with a length of 4 km and a width of 3.9 km. The shoreline is 12.8 km long. The water is fresh. The lake is replenished by meltwater from snow and precipitation during the spring. It freezes in November and thaws by the end of April.

Shore Characteristics

The northern shore is flat, while the southern part has cliffs with scattered pine trees. Narölgen Mountain lies to the northwest, and the Urumkay lakes are to the south. The shores are used as pasture and hayfields.[1]
