Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede (born 1968) is a Lieutenant General of the Nigerian Army who is the current acting Chief of Army Staff.[1] He was appointed by president Bola Tinubu to succeed Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja on 30 October 2024.[2][3]
Early life
[edit]Major General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede was born in Ikere-Ekiti, South Western Nigeria. He attended the Nigerian Defence Academy as part of the 39th Regular Course and commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1987.[4][failed verification]
Career
[edit]Olufemi was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1992, effective from 1987. He rose to Major-General in September 2020.[5]
