Older (Hebrew: "מבוגר יותר") is a single by Israeli singer Eden Golan. It is the first international single released by Golan after representing Israel at Eurovision 2024 with the song "Hurricane".
Background
[edit]During Eden Golan's participation in Eurovision 2024, the singer experienced several anti-Semitic incidents following the war between Israel and Gaza that began with the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
After the contest, Eden decided to take a break to prepare for the release of new music that would represent her, in an interview she said that the song talks about incidents Eden went through in her childhood, when she was boycotted and bullied by children in Russia because she was Jewish.
Eden decided to write a song about that and also about the feelings coming from the children of Israel, as much as they had to grow up faster than other children around the world following the war, "something no child should experience" Eden said.[1]
The song was written by Golan, Victoria ‘Ryann’ Zaro, Sarah Solovay, Ido Zmishlany, Stav Beger and produced by Stav Beger & Ido Zmishlany.
