OceanBase (also known as OceanBase Database)[1] is a distributed database company, [2][3][4] founded by Yang Zhenkun in 2010[5], and headquartered in Beijing, China. It is part of the Ant Group.[6] The company produces OceanBase Cloud, database and digital technologies operations.[7]
History
[edit]In June 2021, it became open-source. In August 2022, OceanBase 4.0 is released[8] and it supports both vertical and horizontal scalability capabilities.[9]
