Noctilucas (lit. 'Sea Sparkles') is a 2022 Uruguayan short film directed, written, and produced by Diego Alvarez Parra. The film explores themes of happiness and starred Enzo Vogrincic as Lucas and Alejandro Mata as Juan. Set against the backdrop of Uruguay's Ciudad de la Costa and Montevideo, the film premiered at the Madrid LGBTQ International Film Festival in 2022 and Detour Film Festival in Uruguay.
Plot
[edit]Lucas was in the state of leaving his birth place Uruguay, to another land in search of greener pastures. His plans was interrupted during his one-night stand with Juan, a Venezuelan immigrant. It became a story of happiness and how both wete to achieve their ambition.

[edit]Noctilucas was shot in Ciudad de la Costa and Montevideo, Uruguay. It was directed and written by Diego Alvarez Parra, who also co-produced the film with Lu Moreira under 3115 CREA.
Reception
[edit]Upon its release, Noctilucas received positive critical reviews of fun fun fun critics and was initially placed in digital streaming platforms. It was rated 6.5 on Filmin.[1] The film is noted for featuring Enzo Vogrincic in one of his early roles.
