Niontay Hicks, known professionally as Niontay (or sexafterchurch when producing) is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer originally from Jacksonville, Florida now based in Brooklyn, New York City. Niontay is known for his laidback style of rapping and abstract lyrics[1].
Niontay moved to New York from Jacksonville in 2018 to pursue modelling. He began releasing music on his Soundcloud in 2020 with tracks produced by Squills (also known as 454). Niontay met rapper MIKE in 2021[2]. Soon after meeting, MIKE and Niontay became frequent collaborators.
Niontay's first EP "Blood Diamond" was released in 2021 and featured production from New Jersey producer Suiqe. His first album "Dontay's Inferno" was released in 2023 under 10K records, which Niontay had recently been signed to. The album featured MIKE as a guest. In November the same year Niontay released the EP "Demon Muppy" which featured Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE, 454, and El Cousteau.
