Nine Hearts NE is a New England based Idol cosplay group that does various covers of Japanese Idol media. It consists of Nine members, and was created back in 2018 by TaytimeCosplay.

== History ==

Nine Hearts NE was created in 2018 by cosplayer TaytimeCosplay. The group started through a search on Facebook, and eventually nine members joined.

• Since starting there have been several iterations of the group and several member changes.
• The first members of the group were Tay, Kat, Em, Cyrena, Shiloh, Alex, Megan, Jess, and Ashley.
• The first photoshoot as Aqours was done on the beach, however these photos were never published on the instagram page. It was planned that Loveless World from Love Live would be the first PV, however the group quickly dissolved. It was later brought back with a new set of members including Tay, Em, Cyrena, Megan, Jess, Ashley, Matt, Cate, and Izzy.

• The first photoshoot after the group was brought back together was unidolized Taisho Romance Muse. Originally the shoot was only five members, Tay, Izzy, Jess, Megan and Ashley and was taken at the Honey Apple Orchid during a cosplay event. Later a full group photoshoot happened at the Harvard Arboretum. No PV was done in Taisho.
  • The characters portrayed at this time were Tay as Hanayo Koizumi, Izzy as Rin Hoshizora, Jess as Nozomi Tojo, Ashley as Nico Yazawa, Megan as Maki Nishikino, Cate as Honoka Kousaka, Cyrena as Uni Sonoda, Matt as Eli Ayase, and Em as Kotori Minami.
• 2019
  • The first photoshoot as Aqours in the newly formed group was Idolized New Year. This shoot was done at the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill.
    • The Characters portrayed at this time were Tay as Ruby Kurosawa, Ashley as Dia Kurosawa, Megan as Kanan Matsuura, Jess as Mari Ohara, Izzy as Chika Takami, Cate as Riko Sakurauchi, Cyrena as Hanamaru Kunikida, Matt as You Watanabe, and Em as Yoshiko Tsushima.
  • At Anime Boston 2019, Nine Hearts NE performed My MAI Tonight from Aqours in the Idolized New Year set. Cate as Riko Saurauchi was absent from this live performance.
  • Towards Spring of 2019, Cate left the group and was replaced by Kason, who took the role of Umi Sonoda and Riko Sakurauchi.
    • Once Kason joined, a few members changed their roles. Cyrena no longer was Umi Sonoda and instead took the role of Honoka Kousaka. Everyone else stayed the same.
  • In summer 2019, Ashely N left the group. Kim replaced her as Nico Yazawa and Dia Kurosawa. In addition, Jay was added as a part-time member.
  • In late summer 2019, Idolized Flower Bouquet Muse was photographed. This was in preparation for Nine Hearts NE's first PV, Shangri-la Shower from Muse. In addition, Idolized Summer Yukata for Aqours.
    • • Yukata featured Tay As Ruby, Cyrena as Hanamaru, Em as Yoshiko, Jess as Mari, Meghan as Kanan, Jay as Dia, Kason as Riko, Izzy as Chika, and Matt as You.
  • Fall of 2019, Shangri-la Shower from Muse was filmed in Flower Bouquet at Wheaton College. This video no longer exists.
  • Leading into 2020, the plan was to practice and prepare Aquarium for Aqours. However due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, that was put off until 2022.
    • In 2020, Kason left the group. Temporary, Jay filled that role. However Jay also left in 2020. As no projects were planned for this year going into 2021, no replacements were made.
  • 2021 was when Nine Hearts began to produce content again. They started with filming My MAI Tonight at Art in Motion in Unidolized China muse.
    • Shortly before filming, Jess left the group. Filling was Kathy as Mari Ohara, and Dana as Riko Sakurauchi. Kathy and Dana became permanent members following filming
  • After Filming My MAI Tonight, Meghan left the group.
  • The next PV planned was Loneliest Baby from Muse, with slight adjustments in casting.
    • Casting for Loneliest Baby was as follows: Tay as Hanayo, Em as Kotori, Leslie (a temporary fill-in) as Nozomi, Kim as Honoka, Dana as Nico, Cyrena as Maki, Matt as Eli, Kathy as Umi and Izzy as Rin.
  • At Anime Boston 2021, Matt, Izzy and Tay performed Kinmirai Happy End, from the Aqours subunit CYaRon.
    • Casting for Kinmirai Happy End was Matt as You, Izzy as Chika, and Tay as Ruby.
  • Loneliest Baby PV was filmed at AIM in summer of 2021.
  • At Popcult Anime Con in August of 2021, Loneliest Baby was performed live. Lacey performed as Nozomi.
  • Early in 2022, Aquarium was finally filmed as a PV in Boston. However it would not be released until 2023.
    • Cast for Aquarium was as followed: Tay as Ruby, Cyrena as Hanamaru, Em as Yoshiko, Lacey as Riko, Izzy as Chika, Matt as You, Kim as Nico, Dana as Mari, and Kathy as Kanan.
  • After Aquarium, Em graduated from the group. Emma joined the group as Kotori and Mari.
    • Following Em leaving the group, there was another adjustment in casting. Dana was Yoshiko and Emma was Mari.
  • At Anime Boston 2022 Cyrena, Matt, Tay and Izzy performed Mezame Returner from Zombieland Saga, FranChouChou.
    • Casting for Mezame Returner was Cyrena as Sakura Minamoto, Matt as Ai Mizuno, Tay as Junko Konno, and Izzy as Saki Nikaido.
  • Following Aquarium, Lacey left the group. Ashely (Not to be mistaken with the former member Ashley) joined the group.
  • The group filmed A Song for You, You? YOU! from Muse in 2023.
    • The cast for A Song for You, You, You was Kim as Honoka, Cyrena as Maki, Dana as Nico, Emma as Kotori, Matt as Eli, Izzy as Rin, Kathy as Umi, Ashley as Nozomi, and Tay as Hanayo. The PV has not been released yet but is planned to be released in March of 2024.
  • The current cast is Kim as Honoka and Dia, Dana as Nico and Yoshiko, Kathy as Umi and Kanan, Emma as Kotori and Mari, Ashley as Nozomi and Riko, Izzy as Rin and Chika, Cyrena as Maki and Hanamaru, Matt as Eli and You, and Tay as Hanayo and Ruby.
