From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nikos Sola is a street photographer and graphic artist. His art is centered on "social and political constructs that confine, divide, and unite populations. He is drawn to those Western society has deemed unimportant, and his social reportage in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and across North America pulls from this interest in human behavior."[1]

Recent shows and recognition include: - "inPalestine" Solo Exhibition at the Decagon Gallery,[2] Brooklyn - Shortlist, Belfast Photo Festival 2024, Belfast[3] - "After School" featured in The Art of Street Photography Group Show, The Chateau Gallery, Louisville, Kentucky - "inPalestine" Solo Exhibition at the Upper Jay Arts Center, Jay, New York[4] - Featured in Group Show, Art on A Gallery, East Village, New York City

Nikos grew up in New Haven, Connecticut before moving to New York City when he was 16 years old. "The fabric of social and racial injustice Nikos Sola saw in his upbringing introduced him to malevolent and systematic oppression."[1] Nikos holds a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design in New York City, and his most recent show features work from his time spent living in Nablus, Palestine. Additional recent reportage features populations throughout the Middle East, Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and North America.[1]
