Niggerhead Rock is a small island or rock off the coast of Trefoil Island, located off the west coast of Tasmania, Australia. It lies about 20-30 kms out from Valley Bay, Cape Grim.^[1]^[2]

In 2017, it was proposed that the island by renamed to its Tasmanian Aboriginal name of Karanutung,^[1] but As of 2022^[update] the current name was still used in a printed map issued by the Tasmanian Government.^[2]
