New Vision Film Studios Africa (NVFSA) is a film and television studio located on the Lourensford Estate in Cape Town, South Africa. The studio comprises five sound stages, construction workshops, storage facilities and production offices, with immediate access to accommodation and hospitality services. Lourensford has hosted numerous international productions, including HBO's Raised By Wolves.[1]

In 2023, NV Films provided services to the feature film My Spy: The Eternal City in collaboration with Amazon Studios, culminating in the launch of NV Film Studios Africa.

International Streaming and Distribution

NV Studios' global unscripted slate includes Real Plastic Surgeons of Beverly Hills; Being Mandela[2], giving the audience an unscripted window into the daily lives of the next generation of this unique South African family; Night Guard, Outpatients and Keeping Up With The Kruger,[3] across networks and streaming services Apple TV, CBS, Discovery, DStv, Fox, Hulu, ITV, NBC, Netflix and Viacom,

NV Studios has racked up ‘firsts’ in the global industry, When Hulu picked up Night Guard in 2018 [4], the studio became the only South African television production company with a presence across the major international streaming and broadcast services.

NV Studios was also the first South African company to be awarded an output deal by an Emmy Award-winning distribution company - GRB Studio and Global Digital Distribution. The NV Studio shows Green Warrior, Xtreme Modelling, Generation Gap and Volunteer South Africa were distributed globally.[5]

NV Studios partnered with New Jersey production company Hit + Run in 2019 to launch the non-scripted joint venture Makeshift Entertainment. Adventure Capitalists, Make It Out Alive and Ghostcraft were launched at MIPCOM.[6] Hit + Run's Rob Shaftel said in a statement, “Partnering with creative powerhouse NV Studios allows us to tap into their international distribution and production footprint, providing us access to more talent, creatives and buyers worldwide.”
