Nerdando is an italian entertainment media website and crossmedia project. It focuses on videogames, films, boardgames, television and comics.
Nerdando's reviewing policy focuses on extreme subjectivity and experience-based, starting from reviewer's personal point of view. Nerdando's claim is to create a toxic-free community, avoiding trolling, gatekeeping and FOMO[1].
History
[edit]Nerdando started its activities in July, 10th, 2014[2]. It became cultural asscoiation on April, 22nd, 2016 and a registered newspaper on September, 26th, 2024.
Scoring systems

[edit]A member of the Nerdando staff writes a review, and assigns a score between 0.1 and 5.0, by increments of 0.1 determining how much the title reviewed is recommended.
Seals of approval
[edit]On June 28, 2021, Nerdando revealed that, as part of its new review format, all future reviews would follow a different method of evaluation based on seals, rather than using decimals. Four different seals are prevised: bronze, silver, gold and Nerdando's choice, based on reviewer's appreciation. This decisions was taken to refocus on Nerdando's policy of subjectivity, giving staff memebers a greater order of freedom in reviewing.[3]
Nerdando awards
[edit]Nerdando's awards is an end-of-year event to annually honor the year's best games, films, television shows, boardgames and comics.[4]. Winners of each award category are selected by Nerdando staff according to what they've experienced during the year, while readers are able to cast their own votes online to determine the 'People's Choice' award for each category.
