Nay Myo Htun (born 1997 in Yangon), also known as Nay Saii (/neɪ saɪ/; Burmese: နေစိုင်း) is a youth analyst who has served as the member of Yangon Region Youth Affairs Committee (YRYAC) since 2018 and Focal Person of Social Affairs Working Committee of YRYAC since 2019. Before, he was working as the Founding President of Dagon University English Students' Service-Learning Association (DUESSLA) in 2017. And he was working as English Language Instructor. In 2018, he was elected as the member of YRYAC which is a semi-government organization to implement Myanmar Youth Policy for the youths in Yangon Region by collaborating with Yangon Region Government. But now, he and his fellows from YRYAC don't collaborate with the military appointed Yangon Region Government since the coup happened on 1 February, 2021 although they hold their current positions.
In 2017, he graduated from the Dagon University specialized in English Literature. The following years, he continued further studies with Post Graduate Diploma in Political Science at University of Yangon in 2018 and Post Graduate Diploma in International Studies at Myanmar-Korea Center for International Studies(KIS) at University of Yangon collaboration with Chung-Ang University in 2019. In the same year of 2019, he studied Post Graduate Diploma in English at Yangon University of Foreign Languages. And continued studying Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology and Post Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Myanmar Studies Course in University of Yangon in December 2019 but the course is not completed yet due to COVID-19 and political situation in Myanmar. So, he changed his study field and continued the master degree in Economics at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) with Study in India(SII) Scholarship sponsored by Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2021 and completed in 2023 with Third Rank and as the Distinction Holder.. After that, he received Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarship which is sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in 2023 for his PhD course in Economics in Mangalore University in India.
Now, he is a Research Scholar of Economics at Mangalore University, India. His research interest is International Economics, Development Economics, Public Economics and Politics too. He attended National and International Level Conferences in India and outside India as the paper presenter as well as participant and published many articles till now. And he is also working as the editorial board member of the edited book published by IIP and reviewer of the academic journals.
